For the beginner or novice we always recommend a raft first. Rafts are much more forgiving when it comes to hitting rocks, trailering and the other various obstacles that stand between us and the fish of a lifetime. We also recommend taking the raft on a lake the first couple times you go out to learn and master some of the basics. For the expert anglers: with so many amazing rivers to float and explore, and the ever changing conditions it can sometimes feel tough to decide what's the best boat for each body of water and ultimately most come to realize their isn't the "one boat" that does it all. There are two ways to get your boat rentals, delivery or pick up. Delivery is a great choice for those anglers wanting to maximize the travel time to fly on water ratio. Delivery Fee of $60 includes drop off and pick up at an approved meeting place. We deliver to all of Missoula proper and the ENTIRE Bitterroot Valley. Boats are delivered every day between 3-6pm. Remember every boat rental is available from 1pm the day before to 11am the day after and of course you can always pick-up/drop-off at the Drifter's Garage in downtown Stevensville, MT for free. All first time Montana Drift Rental customers must first complete our free in-person rental orientation. This can be done anywhere we drop-off and usually lasts 10-15 min. For returning delivery customers you will find your boats locked and ready for trailering at your approved drop off location, and all access is done through a bluetooth lock box with your unique code.

If your car, SUV or truck has a hitch chances are your good to go! No hitch, no problem...Montana Drift Rentals has an assortment of small sneaky fishing craft that can easily breakdown and fit into (or on top of!) the smallest vehicles. If your not sure just give us a call and of course always follow your vehicles towing guidelines. All of our trailers have 2" ball receivers and we offer multiple ball mount configurations free with every rental. 

All of our boats and rental gear can be picked up and dropped off free of charge after 1pm the day before your rental and dropped off by 11am the day after. We do not have a brick and mortar location but what we like to call the "Drifter's Garage" located 1/2 block from main street in downtown Stevensville, Montana. We have commercial alley parking that allows for 24hr access of the boats and gear via a bluetooth lock box. Drifter's Garage is by appointment only and you will receive it's super secret location, along with your unique bluetooth code, upon your first booking.

All new delivery customers must call and schedule a boat orientation appt. This can be done at your approved location upon delivery or via phone call and usually lasts 10-15 minutes. 

All returning customers can access their rentals via bluetooth lockbox 24hrs a day, 7 days a week. Each bluetooth lockbox holds the keys to your rental boat trailer ball lock, coupler lock, dry box locks and cooler locks. Your unique lockbox code is the last 4 digits of the phone # you have on file with us. To gain access to the oars and other cable locked items your 3-digit code will be the last 3 digits of your phone# on file. 

If you choose delivery you will find your boat and gear locked and ready for trailering at your approved location by 7pm the day before your rental begins. you need to have the boats/gear back and fully locked at your approved location for pick-up no later than 9am the day after your rental.

We get it, life happens and sometimes our gear and boats gets damaged. Montana Drift Rental only charges actual repair/replacement costs. We hold a fully refundable rental deposit of $200 per boat rental and $100 for gear rentals. Should any damage or loss occur your credit card on file will be charged for actual repair/replacement. When towing, traveling or actively hitched your boat/trailer rental is automatically covered under your auto insurance policy. Should damage, accident or loss occur, it is your responsibility to initiate the claims process within 24hrs. For further questions regarding our rental policy just give us call.
